About Artizahn
Our goal is to be an integral part of each client’s restorative team to ensure consistently beautiful results. We are committed to bridging the gap between the dentist and our laboratory.
Artizahn’s blend of knowledge, superior communications and cutting-edge technology provides restorations that exceed patient and dentist expectations.
Our comprehensive experience in dental technology, as well as our deep knowledge of both the Kois and Pankey protocols, has made us a valuable information resource for many reputable dentists in our region. Artizahn continues to work with the nation’s top educators in both the technical and clinical venues in order to remain shoulder to shoulder with the latest techniques and procedures.
It’s not just our high quality end product, but working relationship with our clients that’s based on sincere customer service, meticulous quality control, and above all, integrity.
History
Artizahn Dental Studio, Inc. was founded in 2003. We envisioned a high quality, customer-centered dental laboratory that aligned serious professionals in cosmetically driven practices. That vision became, and continues to be, a reality for us. The key to our ongoing success can be attributed to our enthusiastic pursuit of knowledge, first-class communication, cutting-edge technology, and honesty. Artizahn is artistry with integrity.
Founders
Ernest Schmidt, CDT President 2003-2014
Ernie combined over 25 years of dental technology experience and dental laboratory management to found Artizahn along with his wife Audrey.
His broad range of technical and clinical knowledge led him to become a viable information resource for many reputable dentists in the region. He both lectured and gave workshops in New York and around the Northeast on topics from impression materials and bur selection, to setting protocol in complex cases. He was highly trained in both Kois and Pankey protocols, and was committed to persistently educating himself. His remarkable knowledge foundation allowed Artizahn to become the productive, successful business that he and Audrey envisioned.
Sadly, Ernie passed in 2014 but his influence of quality and integrity continues to be a driving force for Artizahn.
Audrey Schmidt, CDT President since 2014
I have been a dental ceramist for close to 40 years, and I am fascinated by the morphology, function, and beauty of natural teeth. I spent my career studying the art of light refraction and color reproduction in all of my work.
I am knowledgeable and skilled in many areas of crown and bridge technology, and I attribute this to my constant pursuit for continuing education and hands on work with some of the nation’s leading dental technology masters.
Since 1986 I have specialized in many facets of restorative dentistry, from custom shades, utilizing all facets of photography and digital imaging to reproduce lifelike restorations in both traditional pfm and all-ceramic cases for local and national doctors. The transition to digital has been exciting but I will never lose my fascination for what nature creates.
My team and I look forward to making you and your patients smile!
